MODELLVERFAHREN - MODEL PROCESS MÄUSEBUNKER:
A trans-sectoral process of strategic rethinking and development for the iconic brutalist building and former laboratory in Berlin continues in 2022. Make_Shift gGmbH developed the concept and process for the Landesdenkmalamt. May 2023: the Mäusebunker is now officially a heritage listed building and the model process is set to continue. DIVERSITY IN ARCHITECTURE:
Francesca Ferguson is on the board of trustees for the new platform dedicated to pursuing greater diversity in the profession, promoting a prize for women architects, and providing role models for a younger generation of practitioners. This year's inaugural prize went to Marta Maccaglia, founder of Semillas for her pioneering work construction and education in Peru. The finalists stand for a broad spectrum of outstanding practice: MUF Architecture/Art Liza Fior and Katherine Clarke, May al-Ibrashy, Tosin Oshinowo, Noella Nibakuze. Look out for the exhibition touring globally.
